What Do You Think?

I LOVE the look of our made over blog.  There are few changes and things I would like to add on, but not much else.  Leslie did a great job!  I just want to stare at it all day.  Hopefully staring at it will keep me writing more often.  Now that I have a plan to "publish" our blog into bound books, I think I will be motivated to write and document things that are going on.  We are all packed and ready to hit the open road at 5am!  Pray we have a safe, smooth drive.  Rain is coming and will hit hard by the time we are leaving.  Brian will start the drive, I get nervous driving in the rain especially with it still being dark and the babies in the backseat.  We rented a BIG SUV for the trip - A :LOT more room than our two small SUVs.  I told Brian I wasn't giving it back.  It is BRAND SPANKIN NEW.  The new car smell is addicting and the leather, the room, the storage, the gadgets, I am in LOVE.  I will start snaping pics in once we get going.  WAHOOO Vacation Vacation!

Blog Make Over

Our blog is in the process of getting a make over from Designed By Leslie.  I have had the opportunity to see a small portion and it looks AMAZING.  I am so excited.  I have also been working on making our blog into hard bound books for each year that I have had the blog.  I am doing this through BLOG2PRINT.  Recently I tried to get to my blog and it had disappeared.  Like the browser said "does not exist."  I about had a nervous breakdown.  I had to walk away from the computer and breath deeply.  All of our memories that I had documented GONE.  Luckily it was just something going wrong with blogger, but seriously I would be devastated if I ever lost our blog.  So that sent me searching to make a "hard copy."  BLOG2PRINT is one option there are several out there.  It is so easy.  I can't wait for the first book 2008 to arrive.  Then I will order 2009 and at the end of 2010 order that book.  I plan to do this for every year after.  The only thing I feel bad about is that I didn't start the blog earlier.  I would have loved to have had it when Brian and I had gotten engaged in Dec 2005 or when we got married in Jan 2007 and especially during the time I was pregnant with Logan and after he was born.  Good thing I have about 5000 photos of all those years!  So we are headed to Orlando on Monday for the week.  We are going with Brian's parents and are so excited.  We are staying Here.  Lots of pools and things for us to do at the resort.  We will go to a Disney park also.  So excited about a little vacation.  I promise to take loads of pictures!  We will be home on Friday the 7th.  Here are some pictures of the kids as of late.

The house was a little too quiet the other day.  Logan was watching...CALLIOU!  I went to Austin's room and found him sitting on his toy chest looking out his window at the birds.  He was saying his his version of bird and then he saw a dog and said "doggy."  He sat there for at least 20 minutes.  He loves looking out the window, he really loves being outside.  Just so sweet to see him just sitting so quiet and happy to be looking out his window.

Sweet boys helping me water the flowers.  They did have clothes on, but after some water fun we stripped down to diapers!

Fuzzy picture, but cute one of Logan at a car show with my parents.

Fuzzy again, but boys at the car show with my parents.  Not too into the cars I hear, but a train went by twice and they were very excited about that!

Logan in the sprinkler at Mimi's on our water fun day.  We had two different sprinklers going, the pool out, water balloons, the hose, and lots of water toys.  This is the best sprinkler, you don't blow it up.  The hose hooks up to the tube and the water fills up and comes out the little bitty holes.  It sprays just enough water so even Austin would play in it!

A on water fun day, board with the water, but not with the the chocolate that Mrs. Chris brought over!

SO HAPPY just sitting eating mini M&Ms -even off the ground. He goes by the 60 second rule;)

Austin fell at a baby shower a few weeks ago.  This was taken a day after.  Logan felt so bad for his "baby." He made sure to let everyone know that "Austin fell down at a baby shower." Of course it sounds a bit more dramatic coming from him and usually begins with a "oh my goodness."  He is great.

3rd Cousins

Did you know that my mother in-law's cousin in Sonny Pacino, we know him as Al Pacino!  They grew up together.  So Brian's grandmother is Al's aunt.  Cool huh?  That makes Al Brian's second cousin and our kids' third cousin.  See any resemblance?

I will have to get some family photos my mom in law and scan them in, but this is Al now and Al in the early days.  We think Austin has his eyes.

Mom's Bday - March 7

Blowing out the Candles with Mimi

Yes it was almost two months ago, but I wanted to share we did for my mom's bday. Prior to her bday I had asked her if she wanted to go paint pottery with the boys for part of her gift. Of course she was thrilled as she has wanted to do this for a long time now.
We went Here to paint pottery.  Mom, me, Logan and Austin.  We had Logan and Austin put their hand prints on a plate for mom and then let them paint around their hand prints.
For mom's birthday the WHOLE family went back to the Peace, Love, Pottery to paint a piece of pottery before going home for a yummy Italian dinner!

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

Egg Dying Part 2 & Houses

Why Part 2? We dyed eggs with my family a few weekends before Easter. I want to move on from Easter so I am not sure I am going to post them. However egg dying is fun fun fun! Brian and I dyed eggs with the boys the weekend before Easter. We did it on the back deck. Austin lost interest that is why he is seen playing on the slide! On that same day we made easter gifts for the grandparents. Birdhouses! Brian assembled the houses (it was a kit from Target) and the boys painted them. We used paint stamps to make them even more lovely. We had to stop at one point to put Austin in the bathtub when he thought paint was edible - ahhh! I almost called poison control. However Crayola is so wonderful to put on the label that the paint is not toxic for parents like us! The bird feeders turned out great. Then I wrapped them up and added an egg ornament to the package. Both sets of grandparents loved their Easter surprise.

Easter 2010

Holidays are sure getting fun around here.  The boys are understanding more and are so excited about everything that goes along with the holiday - decorations, crafts, baking, presents:) but not so much in love with the Easter Bunny.  My mom and I took them to see the Easter Bunny at the Mall of GA.  I thought logan would be fine as he did great with Santa.  Nope.  I don't have a single picture from that afternoon.  As soon as we got up to the bunny, Logan threw himself down in front of the bunnies feet and Austin screamed his head off.  I tried to get in the picture and that didn't even work.  I like to get a picture each year for a new frame and then display their yearly pictures at the given holiday.  We'll look back and talk about why there isn't an Easter picture from 2010. Hopefully next year will be better!  My sister in law Julie was confirmed in the Catholic church the night before Easter so we went to that service which was actually the candle light Easter service.  It was beautiful.  The Easter Bunny hit our house big time this year.  When we woke up the boys found their easter baskets filled with things for the beach, Thomas the Engine toys, a new outfit, and of course candy.  There was Candy filled eggs all through the house so they had a little egg hunt before we had to get ready to go.
Our first stop was to have brunch with grandma, grandpa Harris and Aunt Donna.  Of course the easter bunny came to their house as well and they got two baskets full of goodies.  Then we were off to brunch at the Marriott.  After brunch the boys napped in the car on the way to my parents house.  We took several family photos before we were given the treats the Easter Bunny left there.  He even left a big tote filled of goodies for me and Brian!  We had a yummmy meal and Brian had to leave for work.  The boys and I stayed for an egg hunt and a fun game of Banana-Grams.  Unfortunately I didn't get any pics from easter morning or with the Harris family.  These pictures are the ones my mom took.  Enjoy!

1.5 Years - Austin

Today my sweet little baby is 18 months old making him a year and a half.  To mark this milestone I thought it fitting to write 18 things about him, though there are so many things about Austin I could share these are my top 18:)  I LOVE YOU sweet, sweet boy.

1.Austin's vocabulary is growing daily.  He talks ALL the time.  Dada, hi, bye, tank u, ni ni (night night), dog, ba ba, ya ya, cat and more.  Basically anything we ask him to say he tries to say it.  However, it seems mama, has been lost in his vocabulary!
2.Speaking of mama, Austin is attached to me.  He clings to my leg anytime I need to leave without him (which isn't often).  If he is upset he wants me.  I have to be the one to put him to bed.  It is really sweet and just soaking up his love.
3.Chunky chunker legs and feet (his little fat feet have dimples and won't fit under most sandals!)
4.Loves water; bath, pool, outside water/sand table, hose - he loves it in any form.
5.Still has a bottle before bed.  I will let him do this until he is two.  Its whole milk and he LOVES it.
6.Hates TV - seriously.  There is nothing that even interests him to sit and watch.
7.Plays from the moment he gets up until nap time and then bed time.
8.Would stay outside all day if we let him and screams his head off when he has to come inside.
9.Loves his big brother and copies EVERYTHING he does.
10.Throws fits like no other.  He has a face that lets you know when he is sad and when he is mad he hits the ground - kind of comical, I just walk away.
11.Austin is loud.  He talks loud, tries to sing loud, screams loud, and if you turn soemthing up like the radio he just gets louder.
12.Hates strangers with a passion.  Won't stay at the gym daycare or MOPS.  Good excuse not to workout, but not so much for social time!
13.No is his favorite thing to say.  I hear it all day long, I bet he would say the same about me;)
14.Austin runs to the door when his daddy gets home full speed with his arms out - he likes daddy a lot.
15.Austin loves to eat especially healthy food like green beans, fruits, meats.  He would eat all day long and sometimes if feels as if he has.
16.Austin can open all the doors in the house.
17.Hates getting dressed.
18.Smiles all the time.

We are blessed to have this sweet boy!

Not Me Monday...

Yes, today is Tuesday but it is much more fitting for Not me than yesterday.  It all started at 2 am last this morning.  Logan did not wake up throwing up in his bed.  I did not put him in our bed where he continued to throw up.  We did not take a bath at 4 am.  At that point Austin did not wake up screaming his head off.  He was not sick also.  We did not all sleep until 9 am (thank the lord).  I did not beg the boys to eat something bland.  They did not refuse.  We did not do anything all day, except of course all the sheets and towels from the vomit.  We did not watch Phines and Pherb 10 times.  I did not take at nap for 2.5 hours out of exhaustion along with the boys.  I did not drop the kids off at my mom's so I could go to Publix - ALONE.  I did not get a migraine about the time my husband got home.  I did not thank him for coming home and putting all the sheets on the bed, bathing the kids, making them grilled cheese, and putting them to bed, while I did - NOTHING.   Not ME!

On Being a Mommy

Thanks Ang for posting this on your blog.  I know a lot of mommies who will love it!  Strange how things come to you when you need them most.  This Easter I am so thankful and blessed for my babies! You will need to go to the side bar where my playlist is and pause the music to hear this beautiful message.
