Orlando Trip 2010

On Monday, May 3, 2010 we were in the car at 6am headed to Orlando.

I took a picture of the time we left our house:)

We were going to Orlando with Brian's parents.  We were so excited.  The days leading up to the trip were filled with last minute shopping, laundry, and packing.  Oh and if you know me well you know that I always clean my house the day before I leave on a trip so I come home to a clean house.  So back to the trip.  Our first stop on Monday was around 8am, we stopped at Cracker Barrel in Macon, GA.  There we met Brian's parents and we followed each other the rest of the way down to Orlando.

Here are some pictures of us in the car.
Sleeping Babies

We arrived in Orlando at our Hotel the Caribe Royale around 2pm.  We checked in, and after changing our clothes (and me unpacking the four of us quickly since I packed like a champ) we headed down to the pool.  Brian, Me, and Dad H had a beer, and Mom H had a coke that she shared with the boys (more to come on that).

This is a picture of our hotel

water slide

The boys went down the water slide several times.  However Hunter took Austin down and the current at the bottom of the slide is really strong so they were pulled under and then Austin was done with that slide!  Logan loved it over and over and over again!  Around 5 pm we headed back up to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We shared a villa with one master bedroom that we gave to Brian's parents and we too the room with two full beds and then the pack and play but we had our own bathroom.  The villa had a washer and dryer - I didn't come home with any dirty clothes WOO HOO!  There was also a full kitchen were we ate breakfast each day and kept drinks cold.  A full living room and balcony that over looked another pool.  I loved the balcony it was closed in so I didn't have to worry about the boys being out there playing.  The set up was perfect plus their was maid service daily.  That meant when we came back to our room we had fresh towels and beds made.  So it is sorta like having a condo with the hotel services.  Plus The Caribe Royale is a "neighbor" of Disney.  Full shuttle service was offered to get to and back from the parks.  After we were dressed we left our room to go eat dinner.  We spotted a Pizzeria Uno, since Logan stated he wanted pizza to eat we thought it was great.  Well back to the coke that Austin sucked down at the pool for the first time in his life...At the restaurant he was like the Tasmanian Devil.  He couldn't sit still and was everywhere and going a mile a minute.  NONSTOP.  We all agreed we had never seen anything like this and it must have been the coke by the pool.  After dinner we headed back to the hotel where the children crashed immediately - the highs and lows of a caffeine/sugar rush.  It was good they were in bed Tuesday was going to be a BIG Day!

Up, showered, breakfast eaten, and headed to Disney by 8:30 am!  We did good.  The bag was packed with the cameras, extra set of clothes, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and some gold fish (that came in handy several times).  We took our new Peg Perego double stroller.  It is so light and folds up so well we said over and over again that we were glad we brought our own stroller.  We arrived at the park, headed to the tram, and then into the park.  So exciting!  Enjoy the slide show!
After lots of rides and lunch and more rides we headed to get great seats
to watch the Celebration Parade which began at 3 pm.

After the parade we went on the Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise

Waiting for Pirates with new toy - Mickey Light Saber

After those two rides, everyone is exhausted as it is almost
dinner time.
We walked going towards the exit.
Jennifer wanted some coffee so we took the boys in the
candy store.
Doing what any great parents would do,
we had Logan fill a giant pixie stick full of sugar just to give
him a little jolt!

I got a diet coke and piece of fudge and Austin did this

We left The Magic Kingdom at 5ish and headed back to the hotel.
We had to shower and get dinner for the kids.
I had a paper to work on that was due at midnight that night.
So I worked on that after the boys ate and we put them in bed.

Wednesday, May 5, 2010
We woke up to overcast.
So after a yummy Perkins breakfast we headed to Down Town Disney.
We walked around and did a little shopping and took some pictures!
After Down Town Disney, we headed back to the hotel to get some sun by the pool!

Brian and I headed to Pleasure Island to celebrate Cinco De Mayo!

We went to several bars including House of Blues where Brian and I each got a tshirt (the boys got a Mickey shirt earlier in the day)

The boys and I did not wake up until 9am!  That is a late start especially since we wanted to go to Hollywood Studios.  After we got dressed Hunter brought up breakfast from Chic Fil a.  We ate fast and headed to Holly wood Studios!  At Hollywood Studios, the first thing we did was get fast passes for The Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, and Toy Story Mania.  The Little Mermaid was ok.  I said 15 years ago when I went it was the exact same thing.  Austin could have cared less, he spent most of the time going through my mother in laws purse.  Play House Disney was cute.  It is an interactive show.  The children were able to sing and dance along with Manny and the tools, the little Einsteins, and of course friends form Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Here are pictures with captions from the rest of our time at Hollywood Studios.

Brian, Hunter, and I did ride on the Tower of Terror, but after the Midway Mania Ride and seeing Buzz, it was time to go.  All Logan wanted to do was go swimming!
So we headed back to the villa, I bathed Austin and laid him down for a nap.  I got Logan ready for the pool then I took a shower and a nap.  That evening I packed our bags and we ordered in from Olive Garden.  YUMO, Tired O!

Friday, May 7, 2010 we headed home.
Stopping for Breakfast at McDonalds before getting on the road.

Sad to go, but as Mickey says "see you real soon!"
Yes a trip back this fall could be in the works!
If only a certain three year old boy would use the potty...

What Do You Think?

I LOVE the look of our made over blog.  There are few changes and things I would like to add on, but not much else.  Leslie did a great job!  I just want to stare at it all day.  Hopefully staring at it will keep me writing more often.  Now that I have a plan to "publish" our blog into bound books, I think I will be motivated to write and document things that are going on.  We are all packed and ready to hit the open road at 5am!  Pray we have a safe, smooth drive.  Rain is coming and will hit hard by the time we are leaving.  Brian will start the drive, I get nervous driving in the rain especially with it still being dark and the babies in the backseat.  We rented a BIG SUV for the trip - A :LOT more room than our two small SUVs.  I told Brian I wasn't giving it back.  It is BRAND SPANKIN NEW.  The new car smell is addicting and the leather, the room, the storage, the gadgets, I am in LOVE.  I will start snaping pics in once we get going.  WAHOOO Vacation Vacation!

Blog Make Over

Our blog is in the process of getting a make over from Designed By Leslie.  I have had the opportunity to see a small portion and it looks AMAZING.  I am so excited.  I have also been working on making our blog into hard bound books for each year that I have had the blog.  I am doing this through BLOG2PRINT.  Recently I tried to get to my blog and it had disappeared.  Like the browser said "does not exist."  I about had a nervous breakdown.  I had to walk away from the computer and breath deeply.  All of our memories that I had documented GONE.  Luckily it was just something going wrong with blogger, but seriously I would be devastated if I ever lost our blog.  So that sent me searching to make a "hard copy."  BLOG2PRINT is one option there are several out there.  It is so easy.  I can't wait for the first book 2008 to arrive.  Then I will order 2009 and at the end of 2010 order that book.  I plan to do this for every year after.  The only thing I feel bad about is that I didn't start the blog earlier.  I would have loved to have had it when Brian and I had gotten engaged in Dec 2005 or when we got married in Jan 2007 and especially during the time I was pregnant with Logan and after he was born.  Good thing I have about 5000 photos of all those years!  So we are headed to Orlando on Monday for the week.  We are going with Brian's parents and are so excited.  We are staying Here.  Lots of pools and things for us to do at the resort.  We will go to a Disney park also.  So excited about a little vacation.  I promise to take loads of pictures!  We will be home on Friday the 7th.  Here are some pictures of the kids as of late.

The house was a little too quiet the other day.  Logan was watching...CALLIOU!  I went to Austin's room and found him sitting on his toy chest looking out his window at the birds.  He was saying his his version of bird and then he saw a dog and said "doggy."  He sat there for at least 20 minutes.  He loves looking out the window, he really loves being outside.  Just so sweet to see him just sitting so quiet and happy to be looking out his window.

Sweet boys helping me water the flowers.  They did have clothes on, but after some water fun we stripped down to diapers!

Fuzzy picture, but cute one of Logan at a car show with my parents.

Fuzzy again, but boys at the car show with my parents.  Not too into the cars I hear, but a train went by twice and they were very excited about that!

Logan in the sprinkler at Mimi's on our water fun day.  We had two different sprinklers going, the pool out, water balloons, the hose, and lots of water toys.  This is the best sprinkler, you don't blow it up.  The hose hooks up to the tube and the water fills up and comes out the little bitty holes.  It sprays just enough water so even Austin would play in it!

A on water fun day, board with the water, but not with the the chocolate that Mrs. Chris brought over!

SO HAPPY just sitting eating mini M&Ms -even off the ground. He goes by the 60 second rule;)

Austin fell at a baby shower a few weeks ago.  This was taken a day after.  Logan felt so bad for his "baby." He made sure to let everyone know that "Austin fell down at a baby shower." Of course it sounds a bit more dramatic coming from him and usually begins with a "oh my goodness."  He is great.
