I have deleted those email addresses so there will be no more automatic blog alerts. You can just check in whenever you please! Happy Blogging:)

Baby Harris' Name

I think we have decided on a name for our new baby boy....Austin Michael Harris.

Big Boy

Logan found the candy and did his best to get the paper off the blow pop

He managed to get the paper off and enjoyed sucking away until I took it away - too much sugar!

We had to brush his teeth after eating candy of course! He loves to get his teeth brushed. Twice a day Dr. Pearlstein said.

Brian and I took Logan for his one year physical today (a month later due to the end of the school year craziness)! Logan weighed in at 23 lbs (50th percentile), he is almost 30 inches tall (50th percentile), and he reached all first year milestones! He even showed off his walking skills, climbing skills, talking skills (mama, dada, baba, hi). He also did some tricks - panting like a dog, waving, patty cake, ittsy bittsy spider motions. He is such a smart boy! After saying how "gorgeous" Logan is -she has been saying that since his first visit at 3 days old, Dr. Pearlstein directed us to get rid of the bottle by 15 months so Logan won't relapse when the new baby arrives. It is hard to imagine not giving him a night time bottle, or a morning bottle, or mid day bottle! I think I am taking it harder than he will. He is still a baby! Weaning may take us (or mom) 3 months. Then the nurse came in with the shots. Brian held Logan while Meaghan looked away (so sad for her baby)! Then she got to love on him. We went to lunch and home for a much needed nap.

Memorial Day

Getting ready to get in

Splashing around

We had a great Memorial Day. We enjoyed the day at home spending some quality time together. Daddy and Logan splashed in Logan's pool, we did yard work, a little house work, and took naps! We left around 4 to go to the lake to have dinner with Meg's family. YUMMY cookout!

Logan and Mommy

On Sunday Logan and I put our bathing suits on and headed over to Mimi and Papa's house. We were going on their boat for the first time. It was a hot day and Logan had to wear a life jacket the entire time. It was very restricting and hard for him to move around. He was a bit frustrated at times. However he enjoyed being with everyone and eating snacks and looking at the ducks! We stayed on the boat until dinner time. We all then went to the new Third Coast Grill in our bathing suits! It was so yummy. Logan and I were so tired, but excited to get home because Brian/daddy was home! We missed him so much. We were glad he had fun with his friends but even happier that he was home with us:)

A Day at Grandma and Grandpa Harris'

Saturday morning Logan and I woke up and got ready for the day. I had a dress fitting for Ryan and Julie's wedding. It fit perfectly and hope it still does this Saturday for the wedding! Logan was really good and patient while I tried the dress on. Then we drove over to Snellville. We were meeting decorator Rikki to pay her but had a few minutes to shop until we had to meet. I love the shops at Web Gin. We both got a new outfit from the GAP to wear to Ryan and Julie's rehersal dinner. Both are white and blue. Then we went to Barnes and Nobel. We met Rikki and then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Harris' house. It was so much fun. We had lunch, went to Target with Grandma and she bought Logan a pool for their house, a bathing suit, pool toys, and little Tonka trucks. Logan loved playing in the pool. Of course my camera wasn't working, but Grandma took some great pics of Logan and Grandpa splashing around. Aunt Donna came over and we all went out to dinner at On the Boarder. We really enjoyed spending the day with them! We love our family! XOXOXO

School is Out for Summer!

New Kitchen Rug

New Office Rug - the desk and shelves are also now in place!

Last Friday was offically my last working day. I was able to leave at 12:30 after being checked out. It was a tiring week. After I left school I went and picked up Logan. My students had given me a huge goodbye gift to Target. So my mom, Logan, and I went there and I was able to get two new rugs. One under the kitchen table and one for the office. Thank you kids! Since Brian was away on a golfing weekend, Logan and I ate Little Ceasars Pizza and were in bed by 7:30! We were tired and had a big weekend ahead. We slept until the following morning at 7:30. Nothing like 12 hours of sleep:)

A Nice Weekend

As the school year comes to an end (in less than a week!) each day seems busier than the day before. However Logan and I found time over the weekend to play, eat out, shop, hang out at Suwanee Town Center for Pets in the Park, and spend time with Mimi, and Uncle Kevin! The pets in the park was so much fun. I left my camera at home, but Logan loved seeing all the dogs. He would point and pant like a dog each time he saw one. It was so cute! The dogs came right up to him and he patted them "nicely" as we say! I am so glad he is an animal lover. I added some pictures of Logan playing with his new birthday toys as well as playing in the pantry where his snacks are!

Happy First Birthday Logan!

Logan was born at 6:47 p.m. on May 15, 2007. I took a personal day and stayed home with him. We started the day by having blueberry pancakes with daddy. Daddy then had to go to work.
We got dressed and took a nap. I love being home with him! When we got up, decorator Rikki and Mimi came over. We decorated the house with the beautiful things Rikki bought for our house. Then we all got in the car and went shopping for more great stuff! Thank you to my mom for all of her help in making our house a home. Rikki is awesome if you ever need a decorator I will pass her info on to you. Once the curtains go up I will take pictures and post them. When we were done shopping we met Papa, Ryan, Mike, and Kevin for lunch before they headed off for Ryan's bachelor weekend in Tampa. Brian was very surprised and happy to see the deocrating that had taken place when he got home. He made a great birthday dinner and we ate it with Grandma and Grandpa Harris. Mimi and Kevin came over for cupcakes after dinner. At exactly 6:47 I took Logan's picture. Something I plan on doing every year. I also wrote him a letter, something else I am going to do each year for him. That way when he graduates from high school and is off to college he will have a stack of letters I wrote each year of his life.
It was a wonderful day full of fun and love! Happy Birthday Bubby! WE LOVE YOU XOXOXO
