All four of us headed to my 24 week appt. on Monday. It was a good appointment. Besides the scale part. My blood pressure is 101/64. Addison's heart rate was 143bpm. My belly measured right at 24 weeks. My OB likes to do the glucose test at 24 weeks to check for diabetes. So I have to go back in the morning for the glucose test after drinking the sugar drink (which I really don't mind - its sugar)!
UPDATE: I FAILED the one hour glucose test. My blood sugar needed to be lower than 135. My blood sugar was 146:( So I have to go back on Monday for the dreaded 3 hour test. I am also anemic again. So I was given iron supplements to start. Logan and Austin were with me (it was 9am) and they were so good as they watched me get my finger pricked and were very concerned about me bleeding. Such sweet boys. I made the appt for Monday at 8 to begin the test and you can bed on Sunday - NO sugar! Brian will be home with the boys Monday morning to spare them the boring 3 hour wait. Hopefully I pass half way through and am home by 10 to spend Valentine's with my loves.
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of now the size of a papaya! Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow! (from thebump.com)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total weight gain 17lbs. Starting weight 105 current weight 122 lbs. I am being honest here so I will say that the scale at the doctor's office this week put me at 125 lbs. Well that is with clothes on and I don't think that is accurate at all. When babies are weighed at the pediatrician they get to strip down to their diaper. So I'll stick with my home scale:)

Maternity Clothes: All tops regular for now - I would stay in my regular tops but I don't want them to become stretched out too much. LOVE LOVE LOVE my GAP Maternity Jeans. I wear those when I go out and sweatpants when I am home - which is often - HA! I have two Rubbermaid containers of maternity clothes I kept from being pregnant before. However, I am not too into them. I think from working and wearing them so often I just can't do it. Right now at least!
Gender: It's a girl!!! Addison Kathleen Harris
Movement: Addison is a mover. The nurse couldn't find her heart beat (which made my heart stop) for a few minutes because she wouldn't stop moving!
Sleep: What is sleep? I have terrible insomnia and its not fun. I am currently waking up every hour to hour and a half to pee. Its awful. I feel like my organs and bladder is collapsing.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a margarita!
Cravings: Food - seriously I want to everything good thing I started back doing yoga!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and the pee thing is driving me bananas.
Best Moment this week: Logan explaining to me how Addison got in my stomach after I had already told him that God put her there.

Logan: "Daddy put Addison in your tomach."
Me: "Oh."
Logan: "Yeah with his hands."
Me: hahaha
Me to Brian "I had already told the boys that God put Addison in my belly."
Brian to Me: "Its kinda the same thing." LOL
