Happy Birthday Mom

Today is my mom's birthday. She is the most amazing person I know. She is gorgeous - not just on the outside but on the inside. My mom can see the good in everything and everyone. She radiates goodness. I can not remember a time when my mom hasn't been there for me. Always putting her family before her own needs and wants. My mom was there on the most important day of my life, the day I had my first baby, holding my hand. When I woke up from my emergency c-section with my second baby, the first person I asked for was my mom. In good times and bad I always want my mom there. My husband often jokes that he doesn't know what I would do if I lived further than 5 minutes away from my parents. Even though we do live so close, I talk to her on the phone at least 5 times a day if not 5 times in an hour! We see each other almost daily and when we go out weather it is shopping, lunch, or taking the boys somewhere it is like we are in the circus (you'd have to see us to understand)! We do have a special relationship - we have a connection that only a mother and daughter could have. I aspire to be like her in every way. When someone tells me that I look like her or have the same mannerism as her, I feel grateful. I am proud to be like her, I am proud to be her daughter. The way she loves my boys - well that would take me all night to write about how much my mom loves my boys. To see her with them and to see how much they love her fills my heart with happiness. She taught me everything I know about being a mom as she continues to do. My hope is that one day my children will love me as much as I love her. There isn't' a gift (believe me I search for it at each gift giving occasion), or enough words to express how much my mother means to me. Everyone should be so lucky to have a mom like my mom. I love you mom and I look forward to all of our fun fiascoes and endless phone calls!

March is here!

My favorite season is fall, well that was BK (before kids). I think spring is now my favorite season after being couped up in the house during the cold months. Logan LOVES to play outside. He did such a great job after Austin came home and I got sick when we didn't go anywhere for like a month. Then it got cold and we really only ventured out to grandparent's houses, the library, or to a store. Now that the weather is warming up we are playing in the yard, take wagon rides (the kids not me:), going to the park, and tomorrow we are going to the zoo! I look forward to this spring as we take the boys on picnic lunches, walks, more trips to the park, and getting ready for the next greatest season with kids - summer in hotlanta!!!!

4 Months Comparision

I think our boys look a lot alike at times then at other times I see more of Brian in Austin and Me in Logan. No matter who they look like they both are beautiful to me - but I am their mommy, very biased!

40 Days

Lent begins tomorrow. It is time to either give something up or to work on something. I am choosing to give up sugar! Brian is going to give up french fries and the babies are going to work on sleeping longer (lol)! 40 days is not a long time after what Jesus gave up for us. An added bonus will be losing some lbs from not eating sugar!

Grandma Harris' Birthday

We celebrated Grandma Harris' birthday last weekend. We ate yummy Macaroni Grill and the best ice cream cake! Happy Birthday Mom H - WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!!

Logan 21 months old!

Logan turned 21 months on Feb. 15. Gosh in 3 months he is going to be 2! Where has 2 years gone! He is all boy that is for sure. He goes non-stop from the minute he gets up. He is talking up a storm, all day long! I love it and I love him to pieces.

Logan is all about being naked right now. He takes everything off including his diaper. Getting dressed he hates, getting naked he loves! Here is Logan coloring partly dressed - Logan's way!

Logan loves to go to Rita's and eat ice and make treats with Mimi!

Most of all - Logan is independent, smart, funny, sweet, loving, and the best big brother.

Austin is 4 months old!

Austin turned 4 months on Feb. 15. The following week he had his 4 month well check appt. He weighed in at 15 lbs and is 25 inches long! He is really growing great even with all the other things that have been going on with his belly! Beyond growing, he is such a sweet and happy baby. Taking his picture is so easy, because he is always smiling! I can't imagine life without him.

So what is he doing...

Rolling Over!

Eating Cereal - but not loving it!

Riding in the wagon with his big brother

and just being so stinkin cute!

Valentine's Day

The Harris family had a very SWEET Valentine's Day! Throughout the week, Logan and I made cupcakes, peanut butter balls, and put together Valentine Day surprises for grandparents and daddy. I am thinking next year we will have a V-day party with some friends(aka an excuse for mommies to get together)! On Valentine's Day the boys woke up to find treats in their highchair and swing from me and Brian.

Then we ate my heart shaped pancakes - they looked great and tasted even better!

Brian's mom and dad came over later in the day to watch the boys. Brian and I went out to dinner and then to a new little bar in Suwanee called After Five. It was a loved filled day!

We bought our parents each a candy dish and then these cute note pads with the boys pictures on each page!

Mimi & Papa take Logan Under the Big Top (Circus)!

The day after Valentine's Day, my mom and dad took Logan to the circus! They had great seats - 2 rows up from the floor. Logan sat through the entire show. He loves animals so seeing them in person was a great time for all three of them!

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the 43rd Super Bowl Champions. It was a fun and exciting game to watch. We went to my parents and enjoyed some yummy food and a great game!
