23 Weeks

Before I do the prego highlights let me just show you my belly at 23 weeks:)
Just for fun this is me 4 weeks pregnant
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 23 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of now the size of a papaya! Baby's little face is fully formed...minus the baby fat, of course. The next task at hand for baby: sprouting two teeny-tiny nipples!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total weight gain 16lbs. Starting weight 105 current weight 121 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: All tops regular for now - I would stay in my regular tops but I don't want them to become stretched out too much. LOVE LOVE LOVE my GAP Maternity Jeans. I wear those when I go out and sweatpants when I am home - which is often - HA! I have two rubbermaid containers of maternity clothes I kept from being pregnant before. However, I am not too into them. I think from working and wearing them so often I just can't do it. Right now at least!
Gender: It's a girl!!! Addison Kathleen Harris
Movement: Brian finally felt Addison move last week on our anniversary:)  She was saying Happy Anniversary to us!  Once she started she didn't stop.  I think she had the hiccups at one point.
Sleep: What is sleep? I have terrible insomnia and its not fun.  I am currently waking up every hour to hour and a half to pee.  Its awful.  I feel like my organs and bladder is collapsing.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a margarita!
Cravings: Food - seriously I want to everything good thing I started back doing yoga!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and the pee thing is driving me bananas.
Best Moment this week:  Brian feeling Addison move.  My friend Lisa offering to buy Addison's tutu bow holder.  So excited about that bow holder.

Next Monday is my 24 week appt. with the regular OB.  Looking forward to hearing Addison's heartbeat.

22 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 22 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of now the size of a papaya!  She is settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. This is ture, I know when she is awake - very early am and around 9-11 pm!  I know from all her moving around:)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total weight gain 15lbs. Starting weight 105 and as of yesterday I was 120 lbs.
Movement: Logan felt her kick on Sunday.  She was kicking hard non-stop.  He laughed each time she kicked his hand.  It was sweet he would see "there she goes again."
Sleep: What is sleep? I have terrible insomnia and its not fun
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a margarita!
Cravings: Food - seriously I want to everything good thing I started back doing yoga!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and terrible headaches (daily headaches).
Best Moment this week: Logan feeling Addison move was great.  Austin gives great kisses and raspberrys to Addison also - daily, several times:)  Logan also saying he "can't take it anymore baby addison needs to grow and come out so I can go to disney world."  First of all hearing him say he can't take it is just funny.  Second, we are not going to Disney after the baby is born.  I don't know why he thinks this but hope he doesn't keep saying it!  I think because we have said "oh we'll go back to disney after Addison is born" (meaning after she is born and over a year or two old) - he doesn't get that though.  Also Addison's drapes came this week, thanks to my mom in law.  I love them.  Brian calls our house a "PINKAPALOOZA" he's not in love with the pink pink pink drapes but maybe they will grow on him here's a picture:)

Marriage

On Thursday Brian and I will celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. To kick off our anniversary week (yes, every occasion gets a week long celebration), a great song about marriage. I am thankful that that God brought me Brian and I love being able to spend my life as his wife.

Story Time

Today the boys and I went to story time.  It is a favorite thing of ours to do.  They sat great and listened to the stories.  When it was time to dance and interact they were front and center.  Then we picked out new books for the week.  After the fun at the library we headed to lunch of their pick - McDonalds.  A very rare treat.  We rarely go there, for one I can't stand the food and second its just so bad for you.  But they are little and a McDonalds treat is deserved.  Funny that I think Chick-Fil-A is sooo much better for us and will go there several times a month!  Here is a quick picture I took with my phone before story time began.

21 Weeks

Over half way there!  So exciting.  Though as much as I look forward to May and the arrival of our baby girl, I can't help but be sad that our first baby, Logan will be turning 4 that month.  4!  How did that happen?  I guess its just hormones but I was crying like a baby a few days ago thinking about it.  I still remember the doctor telling me to open my eyes to see my baby being born.  One thing is for certain I held that baby as much as I possibly could.  Still when he wakes up in the middle night and asks to get into bed he will cuddle up to me and its treasure time that I will never forget.  Some nights I wake up and everyone is in our bed and I am like "what is going on here!?"  I lose sleep, get kicked, wake up not rested, but know that these babies will grow up and our bed will be less crowded.  I can honestly say that I am already not looking forward to those days.  Well now I am crying mess again so on to the current pregnancy :)

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 21 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of a banana! From Bump.com: Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, if baby is a girl, her womb is now stocked up with her lifetime supply of six million eggs (the number will drop to around one million by birth).
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total weight gain 14 lbs. Starting weight 105 and as of yesterday I was 119 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Everything regular; I can’t button most of my regular jeans so I wear a bella band to keep them up! I bought the best pair of maternity jeans EVER from GAP Maternity - the wide leg trouser.  I LOVE them!
Gender: It's a girl!!! Addison Kathleen Harris
Movement: Though Brian hasn't felt her yet (every time he puts his hand on belly she stops moving), you can actually see my belly move when she is kicking!
Sleep: What is sleep?  I have terrible insomnia and its not fun
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not going to lie a glass of wine would be very nice.
Cravings: Food - seriously I want to everything good thing I started back doing yoga!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and terrible headaches (daily headaches).
Best Moment this week: Logan singing Scooby Doo theme song to Addison, Austin kissing my belly throughout the day, Logan asking me how she got in my "tomach" and very confused as how she will get out and most of all My friends, Stephanie, Jennifer, & Elizabeth offering to throw me a VERY GIRLY PINK BABY SHOWER in March!!!  Love those girls for loving me and my family so much.

20 Weeks

Half way there!!!!!  I had an OB appt. scheduled for today, but was having some severe pain last Thursday night that I went to my 20 week appt last Friday.  Addison's heart rate was 144 bpm.  She is doing great.  I was put on bed rest (yeah right I have two kids) for the weekend.  I actually felt a lot better by Saturday.  Probably just pregnancy gas!  My Dr. did talk to me some about delivery.  He told me to still prepare myself for a hysterectomy after the c-section.  Though my last ultrasound showed the placenta moving, even the slightest attachment that wouldn't show up on an ultrasound would make for removal of my uterus after delivery.  Now its just a wait and see kind of thing.  I will go back to the specialist on Valentine's Day for another ultrasound so we'll see what happens then.  I feel great about it all.  No extra time in the hospital away from the boys before delivery is an answer to prayer!
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 20 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of a cantaloupe!  From Bump.com:  Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies respond best to tastes they've already had via amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you'd like your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 3 lbs back since the flu.  Total weight gain 11 lbs.  Starting weight 105 and as of yesterday I was 116 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Everything regular; I can’t button most of my regular jeans so I wear a bella band to keep them up!  I did put on a pair of stretchy jeans with a button and was able to button below the belly!  My sister in law Donna gave me some cute GAP Maternity shirts that I have been wearing.
Gender: It's a girl!!! Addison Kathleen Harris
Movement: Every night at 10:30 Addison starts dancing in my belly. She goes for about thirty minutes. Any day now Brian and the boys will be able to feel her.
Sleep: I fall asleep great. However as soon as I wake up to use the restroom, insomnia hits.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not going to lie a glass of wine would be very nice.
Cravings: Well I satisfied my cherry pie craving.  Today I really wanted apples and peanut butter - it was delicious!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and terrible headaches (daily headaches).
Best Moment this week: Addison's bedding arriving and picking out her curtains.

Here they are... some belly shots!  20 Weeks
Trying to take a picture by myself - not so great!
 Logan took this picture:)
Austin screaming to take a picture
Brian took the rest:) OH and the stickers are princess stickers the boys put on my belly for Addison!

 20 Weeks!

Snow Day 2011

It started snowing last night around 9 pm and didn't stop until this morning.  Then the snow turned into freezing rain.  Needless to say every school, restaurant, office of any kind, MALL, WALMART, etc. is closed!  We are just hanging out inside our warm house watching the news - its on nonstop with updates and reports, eating, and playing!  We watched Despicable Me this morning with the boys.  Excellent movie!  Brian took the boys out to play in the snow at 10 am before the freezing rain started.  I took pictures and stayed inside.  I am not a cold weather fan, but our boys sure are.  They loved it and guess who threw a fit when he had to come in?  Austin!  He would still be out there if we let him.  However its too cold and we really only have the basics for snowy weather.  Here are the pictures of our Snow Day!

Picture from our front door
Ready to go with several layers on!
Love this picture of my loves
 Walking in the snow

Austin had some trouble in the snow, but he still LOVED every minute of it

Battery powered wasn't enough, Brian had to push them through the almost foot of snow
They didn't love being pushed, so Brian had to pull the Mystery Machine back in!
Logan's cold but he's not ready to come in
 Austin the snow baby
Our playground covered, you can see Logan just slid down the slide
All three boys on the seesaw swinging.  Brian was yelling that booty was cold!
Going to the fence to say hi to Ms. Nancy and her dog Sugar
 They needed help heading in

Austin crying because he had to come in, Logan was ready

Grocery Store

Today at the grocery store the boys shopped in comfort:)
The new Kroger has shopping carts with tvs showing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Agent Oso, and Handy Manny.  Logan and Ausitn enjoyed eating a Donut while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as we shopped.
I was going to buy ingredients to make a cherry pie (see the previous post) to satisfy my craving.  Then I thought that might be too much pie.  So I found a perfect alternative.  YUMMY!

19 Weeks and Update

First the specialist update:  Today we met with Atlanta Perinatal Consultants.  Through another in depth ultrasound the doctor gave us good news, my placenta had moved!  He is very happy with the movement.  We will be seen again in six weeks to confirm total movement and be in the clear for a normal c-section delivery closer to the due date!  God is good!  Thank you for your prayers.

*I did get the flu last week and lost 4 lbs!  It was awful I was so sick for 48 hours, thank goodness for Zofran!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 19 Weeks
Size of baby: Addison is the size of a mango.  The ultrasound tech stated that she weighs in at 10 ounces.  Perfect for her due date.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost 4 lbs due to the flu, but slowly putting it back on:)
Maternity Clothes: Everything regular; I can’t button my regular jeans so I wear a bella band to keep them up!
Gender: It's a girl!!! Addison Kathleen Harris
Movement: Every night at 10:30 Addison starts dancing in my belly. She goes for about thirty minutes. Any day now Brian and the boys will be able to feel her.  During the ultrasound today, Addison would not sit still, she was flipping, kicking, waving, playing with her feet.  It was so cute.  I am sure all the movement had nothing to do with cherry sprite I had on the way;)
Sleep: I fall asleep great. However as soon as I wake up to use the restroom, insomnia hits
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not going to lie a glass of wine would be very nice.
Cravings: I want a piece of cherry pie and a banana split.  We'll see how long I can wait until I have both:)
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness and terrible headaches (daily headaches).
Best Moment this week: Seeing Addison during the ultrasound and the boys waving at the screen as she was moving around.
