Fourth of July Weekend 2008

We had a great fourth. We kicked off the weekend by celebrating Brian's birthday with my family at our house on Thursday night. We had one of Brian's favorites - BBQ sandwiches! Followed by a very yummy carrot cake. We walked over to EE Robinson Park to see some great fireworks. Logan was exhausted from playing with is Mimi, Papa, Uncles, and Aunt that he was barely able to keep his eyes opened to see the fireworks! We actually left in the middle of the show to walk home and realized that we could see the fireworks from our driveway! It was an hour long display - very cool! It was a great way to kick off Brian's birthday. On Friday the fourth, we got up, Brian worked in the yard, we showered and went to the mall to exchange some of his bday gifts. Then we had Brian's family over and cooked out on the new grill. We ate more cake and he opened more gifts! On Saturday, Logan and I woke up early and headed up to the lake house that my parents had rented for the weekend. We ate lots of yummy food, got in the hot tub (that was actually cool without any jets going when Logan was in), went on the boat, and relaxed with family and friends. We came home Sunday morning and got into our pj's. We took naps with Daddy, played, watched a movie, and ate dinner before going to bed early!
