Conversation With Logan

I rarely turn the radio on in the car anymore.  Conversations with Logan are much more entertaining.
Today in the car I am driving and Logan spots a boy walking a little dog
Logan "I want a small puppy"
Me "Tell me what you would do with your puppy."
Logan "Put a leash on it, walk it like that boy, give it a bone,"
Me "Would you feed it"
Logan "yeah, Dakota's food" (Dakota is our dog)
Me "Would you let Austin play with it"
Logan "No Austin's a baby he would be scared"
Me "What would you name your dog?"
Logan "Puppy"
Me "Would you clean up your puppy's poop?" (poop is a big topic right now)
Logan with a look of disgust "Poop is gross"
Me "Well who would clean it up?"
We are now passing a horse farm where he sees horses
Logan "The horse can clean it up, we need a horse too."
Me ending the conversation "ok ask daddy for a horse:)"

*Poop is talked about A L L the time.  I get the following questions very often "do girls poop? how do they poop" like daddy poops?"

Not Me Monday

Why do my Not Me Monday's always begin late Sunday/early Monday morning?  Well it was not me who took chocolate covered raisins to bed and certainly wasn't me that woke up with chocolate smeared all over the sheets and white comforter.  Logan didn't climb in the bed, so I didn't try to blame it on him when Brian asked about the chocolate incident.  it was not me that woke up at 7:00 am to drive across town to get my hair highlighted by my very prego beautician. It was not her last available appointment and I did not have to beg my sweet husband to stay home until I returned at 10am.  It was not me pumping gas on the way because I was wayyyyyy below the red line.  It was not me that paid for my $4.19 non fat Carmel macchiato in all change.  The "Barista" certainly did not give me an "are you kidding me" look.  I certainly did not tell her that one day she would be doing the same thing.  I was not jealous of my about to give birth hair dresser.  She did not look flawless and completely ready to give birth to her fourth boy.  I did not leave with sopping wet hair to get home in time for my husband to leave for his meeting.  I did not cry on the way home because I wanted to be the one having a baby.  I did not walk into complete madness in my house (I did not think on the way home that breakfast would be cleaned up, the kids would be dressed, and the house would be in order), which made me realize "oh yeah" another baby isn't a super idea right now.  I did not have to put both sticky syrup eating boys in the tub immediately upon my arrival home and my husband did not say "see ya later."  I did not clean like a complete freak for an hour.  I did not give my boys pizza for lunch, which they loved.  I did not actually fall asleep during nap time.  I did not wake up in a complete anxiety attack.  So much to do, didn't know where to start.  So I did not take an atavan.  I did not make chicken fingers and cheesy broccoli for dinner.  I did not completely fall into my husbands arms when he walked in.  He did not have to put me to bed to get me to calm down.  I did not get up to fold piece of clean laundry and put it away.  I did not make lists to get me through the rest of the week as to what I need to get done each day.  I am not sitting here watching Dancing with the Stars thinking that I have not eaten one thing today.  NOT ME!

Families turn out to hunt Easter eggs

Staff Photo: Jonathan Phillips; Austin Harris bends over to pick up one of almost 11,000 Easter eggs during the first of three hunts at E.E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill on Saturday.
Children encircled the rainbow sea of plastic eggs, anxiously awaiting the three-second countdown for the hunt to begin. Their quest was to find the golden egg. And to grab as many eggs — and, therefore, as much candy — as possible.

WHY

Why is my "Not Me Monday" blog post highlighted in white?  I can not get it to change.  It is so annoying to me.  While I am on the topic of Not Me Monday, I have to admit my husband thought it was a bit much.  I don't think he loves me letting everyone in on that I am not so perfect or feels like people don't want to read that.  What do you think?  Seriously too much info?  Only want the happy stuff or the real life stuff?  Brian and I will have to discuss this "Not Me Monday" blog, because I like it, but I don't want to embarrass him at all. So we'll see if it continues.  Happy Saturday.

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. I LOVE it, so I thought I would give it a try.

I did not wake up last night at 2 am by falling out of the bed because we did not allow Logan to climb in between us at some point.  After not falling out of the bed, I did not wake Austin up by not yelling a bad word.  I did not get him out of bed to discover he did not pee completely through his diaper, pjs, and sheets.  I did not strip his bed and put us both in the bath tub.  I did not play a game of Solitaire on my blackberry while he played in the bath tub and it was not 2:15am.  I did not give him a bottle after remaking his bed so he would go back to sleep.  My children did not sleep until 9am waking up crying about being so hungry.  After breakfast we did not take another bath and seriously did not watch the snow fall - UGH!  I did not put my irritable boys in the car so I could go to the tanning bed and to Publix.  I did not run into Gold's gym carrying both boys because it was so cold and they did not want to wear their winter coats.  I did not leave a screaming Austin in the gym's nursery so I could tan for 10 minutes.  I was not irritated when I went back to get the boys and they did not want to leave.  I did not take two hungry boys to Publix so I could get our weekly grocery shopping done.  I did not open crackers, cookies, drinks, and pepperoni so I could keep my kids in their seat.  Oh I did not get the biggest cart the one with a car attached to the cart so I can barely maneuver through the store.  I did not buy a bottle of wine with my kids in the cart.  I did not tell Logan it was for mommy for later when he asked if he could have some.  I did not let Logan throw the grocery's up on the counter when it was time to pay because at that point I REALLY DID NOT CARE.  I did not put the kids in the car and run through the parking lot to return the cart.  I did not make a healthy lunch for my children of turkey, cheese on wheat and carrot bites with ranch dip.  I did not only eat the carrots and dip.  I did not let Austin cry a few minutes until he fell asleep during nap time and I certainly did not watch Thomas the train for the 100th time.  I did not listen to my almost 3 year old repeat the entire movie word for word.  I did not let him have a fresca and chips.  I did not beg him to take a nap.  I did not agree to rest time in my bed with Clifford on.  I did not play Solitaire on my lap top over and over again.  I did not take an atavan to prepare for the afternoon.  I did not sit through several Phineas and Pherb shows until dinner.  I did not let my boys eat all the mini pepperoni while we made our pizza.  I did not pour myself a glass of wine at 5:30 as my husband walked through the door.  I am not glad that everyone is asleep in their own beds and I am sitting her blogging and watching Dancing with the Stars.  I did not ever think I could admit to all of that, Not ME!  See ya next week for Not Me Monday!

Why the new blog theme?

Well as I had previously stated I am going to have a blog face lift in the coming weeks; as I was looking into today I realized I need time to make decisions about colors and fonts and blah blah blah.  I just wanted it done for me.  Oh well that will come.  So in honor of a little trip I will be taking with my mom and two boys to Navarre beach the blog is beachy!  Hope it brightens your day.  Its a bit cheesy to me.  Oh well, at least it reminds me of the BEACH!!!

I love this blog and love these girls!

Please take a look this fashionable blog Jilly Moo's and make it a favorite of yours.  They update it all time with whats in, sales, styles, whats out, stuff for kids, etc!  I heart Jilly Moos!

"That is so sweet"

Picture taken at my parent's house today during lunch. Logan decided he needed to feed Austin. When I showed him the picture he said "that is so sweet." Love my boys!
